WGA Announces Promotions

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, October 16, 2014 – William Gallagher Associates (“WGA”) announces the promotions of Paula Donovan, Charles Long, Ronni Rausch and Haley Adams to Senior Vice President in the Property and Casualty Practice.
Ms. Donovan has been with WGA for nearly 30 years, serving in various supervisory and account managerial positions throughout the Property and Casualty group, including Systems Trainer and Manager for all service members in the department. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Boston State College (now UMass Boston).
“Over the course of her time at WGA, Paula has touched the lives of every member of the Property and Casualty department through her support and training of our staff,” said Patrick J. Veale, President at WGA. “With her personal commitment to be the best every day, she helps the entire department to excel in the service of our clients.”
Mr. Long joined the firm in 2002 and has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He leads the Renewable Energy & Clean Technology Practice at WGA, working with independent power developers, owner operators and manufacturers in the business of power generation. He attended Northeastern University following a successful tour in the United States Navy. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the GCube Insurance Advisory Council, Northeast Energy and Commerce Association, AWEA and the New England Clean Energy Council.
“Charlie has been an integral part of our Energy Practice in the decade plus since he has been at WGA,” commented Mr. Veale. “He has helped broaden the areas of expertise we have within the energy sector and continues to work to increase our footprint by attracting new talent to the company.”
Ms. Rausch came to WGA in 2003 and has over 30 years of insurance and risk management experience. She works with a variety of clients, from public entity institutional and not for profit companies to consulting and staffing firms. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, is a Licensed Massachusetts Insurance Advisor, has her CPCU designation (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter).
“Ronni’s expertise and breadth of experience bring great value to WGA,” said Mr. Veale. “Her professional relationships and business development acumen have helped us make a mark in the not for profit segment as well as several high profile clients, states and associations.”
Ms. Adams joined WGA in 2012 following 13 years with national brokerage houses. She holds over 20 years of experience in a wide variety of industry segments including life science, retail and manufacturing. She also specializes in the placement and implementation of programs for some of WGA’s most complex clients. Ms. Adams earned a Bachelor’s degree from Williams College and holds an ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designation.
“Haley plays a key role in our Life Sciences Practice, handling some of our largest accounts in the sector,” said Mr. Veale. “She is also an exceptional mentor and leader, assisting in the development and training of other members of our staff.”
