Health Reform web event recording: “Play or Pay…Ready or Not!”
WGA’s Health Reform Advisory Team is hosting an informational series online focused on the Employer Mandate scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2015. The series is made up of four installments that will go through the various components of the Employer Mandate.
During the March 6th first installment of the series, Questions on Variable Hour Employees were addressed to help answer the following questions:
- Does our company even need to comply with the Employer Mandate?
- What is the definition of a full-time employee under PPACA?
- Are my variable hour or temporary employees going to be eligible under the plan?
Unsure if you have variable hour employees? Those employers with per diem or hourly workers are highly encouraged to join. Industries that are especially susceptible to these types of workers include hospitals and law firms.
